I am greatly encouraged by this testimony of healing from Phil Clark. A number of CPM workers have had disabilitating or potentially fatal illnesses – Steve P with cancer, Bruce P and myself with parkinsons (I don’t dignify it with a capital P), Chuck W with motor neurone disease. The devil surely doesn’t like the impact we are having on his kingdom but we can all be wonderfully heartened by Phil’s news. Phil and Monika have been shining examples of pressing on and maintaining faith regardless. Thank you both for leading the way! Looks like God is typically doing a gradual work, using medicine as part of the equation, but confounding the doctors by unexpected recoveries over time. Some might ask, “Why doesn’t God do instant miracles like in the Bible?” Well I believe we are coming into a time when He will – but we should remember the times of instant miracles were also times of grave judgement. Matthew 11:20-22 “Then He (Jesus) began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent: “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.” I have been to Tyre. The once great trading city of the ancient world is now just a deserted pile of stones and rubble, an object lesson for anyone who has spiritual eyes to see. Maybe we are not yet quite ready for the mighty works. I’m happy for God to heal me at the time and in the manner of His choosing.
