Update 11 March 2018
We are still praying for Jay’s wonderful work in Myanmar
The Rohingya Muslims are under severe pressure from the Buddhist majority in Myanmar, and the Christians amongst them face persecution as Christians on top of this.

Flood chaos August 2015
From Jay Judson
In early August Cyclone Komen struck the Bangladesh coast near the border of Western Myanmar. This storm dumped 3.5 ft of water during the hight of the monsoon season where the annual rainfall is 200 inches from May through October. Over 1 million acres of rice fields were destroyed as well as 400,000 homes. The severe storm left 200 dead across Myanmar adding even more internally displaced people searching for aid. Several of the house church networks we work with were directly impacted by the severity of this mass flooding.
Thanks to Baptist Global Response and several partner churches our relief teams were able to provide immediate food for about 2,000 victims from the flooding. We were able to make video of the rice distribution with the help of our Australian friend. You can view the 45 sec version here: https://vimeo.com/138155548 or look for the upcoming video on Jay’s Facebook page.
Jay will be returning to Myanmar on October 1-21st to train more house church leaders throughout the country. He will be joined by two trainees from Israel and two from the US. One of the trainees from Israel and fellow co-worker, Sean S has seen the number of house churches double in Israel among both Jews and Palestinians over the past two years. The S’s have also extended an invitation to us to travel back to Israel in early December.
Over the past decade, we’ve been blessed to witness how the movement in Myanmar has exploded to reach numbers over 100,000 believers, with more than 84,000 of whom have been baptized across the country. Yet, the house church leaders are in great need of training.
The fastest growing part of these movements currently have been among the Rohingya Muslims Background Believers. We have received a time sensitive offer for a $50,000 matching grant to train more Muslim Background Believers in Asia. Each training averages $200. Funds can not be released until the full amount is raised so we need your help. Please consider how you can share these needs with others in your community and church.
Thank you for getting behind this Move of God through your prayers and giving. J.
